Dr. Negin Akbarin is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry’s 2020 class. Before attending optometry school, she worked as an optometric technician for several years. During this time, Dr. Akbarin developed a special interest in patient care and was inspired to join the optometric community. Dr. Akbarin has completed two externships in Austin, Texas which provided extensive training in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, glaucoma management, pre and post-operative surgical management (i.e. – cataracts, retinal detachments, LASIK), and dry eye disease.
Her goals are to provide exemplary patient care while maintaining a strong commitment to the profession and advocating for public health education and awareness. She is passionate about cultivating strong relationships with her patients while providing individualized treatment solutions.
Dr. Akbarin is also a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
